ADC Aerodigital-Chile had a contract to produce high resolution digital images of a 250 mile power line. We provided a completely integrated high resolution digital camera and GPS system ready for flight.
Nortek Nortek Geometrics provides aerial photography to customers in central Canada. They needed an aerial digital camera that could capture images in a thousandth of a second. We designed and built a 1/1000 sec. shutter and delivered it on a high resolution aerial digital camera.
SRSC Space Remote Sensing Center, (Resource 21), is a NASA affiliate that uses NASA remote sensing technology to provide farmers digital processed images for crop management. We provided SRSC five aerial remote sensing systems. Each system includes four high resolution digital cameras that record the same ground view with a different narrow band spectral filter. The four cameras are used to record the exact same field of view at the exact time while flying in a small twin engine aircraft.
NJIT The New Jersey Institute of Technology Solar Observatory at Big Bear Lake needed a variety of high resolution cameras with different resolutions and dynamic range to satisfy the needs of several different projects. We provided a selection of high resolution cameras and helped to integrate them into one system.
Sunspot Sunspot Solar Observatory wanted to upgrade their current video cameras to higher resolution digital cameras with increased dynamic range. We provided that camera and integrated it into the existing Sunspot imaging system.
UCN UC Northridge needed a high resolution camera to replace film in their solar observatory. We provided a complete system including camera, computer and CD ROM recorder
CC&S The metrology department of Crown Cork and Seal needed a high resolution color digital camera to record difficult images in low light of metal samples on a microscope. We integrated the RGB color filter wheel to a 1K x 1.5K, ten bit, cooled digital camera.
GDE GDE had a requirement from the Marine Corps to provide a high speed, high resolution scanner of color aerial recognizance film for field deployment. We integrated three color filter wheels on three 2K x 2K digital cameras that the Marines already owned. The cameras are mounted on sub-surface illuminators.
HP Hewlett Packard needed a tool to analyze the color ink jet spray patterns created by their color ink jet printers. We integrated a color filter wheel to a high resolution digital camera and provided the special optics and lighting required for this demanding application.
NASA NASA-Lewis in Cleveland, Ohio records fire and explosions on color motion picture film. We provided NASA a color motion picture film digital scanner. NASA uses the FSE scanner to digitize the color film in order to conduct computerized motion analysis of flame propagation in a micro-gravity environment.
Orincon The reproduction department at Orincon needed a way to take good digital photographs at various customer locations and incorporate those images in various management and marketing reports. We provided Orincon with a high resolution color digital camera; and interfaced the camera to their in-house graphic reproduction system.
Stemmer Stemmers European auto company customer needed a very high resolution color digital camera to inspect dashboard LCD displays. We built a four hole RGB color filter wheel and integrated it to a 2K x 3K high resolution digital camera. Two additional systems were subsequently ordered.
BYU Brigham Young University studies ancient artifacts, paintings and various written documents. We provided a system including a ten bit 4 megabyte camera with a lumigen coated sensor to be used at remote location and can be flown in a small aircraft.
MVP MVP manufactures a system that inspects printed circuit boards. They wanted to increase inspection speed and reduce false counts. We helped MVP replace their two existing low resolution cameras with one high resolution camera that achieved both goals.
Apollo Apollo needed a system to make a large number of precise measurements. We provided a system integrating a high speed, moderate resolution digital camera and software to be used in conjunction with a laser for accurate measurement
JPL JPL needed a system to record a unique laser generated color image. We provided a turn-key high resolution digital imaging system.
Metro Laser Metro Laser needed a way to measure various characteristics of a unique laser. We provides a high resolution digital camera and computer interface to implement this task
Aerospace Aerospace Corporation studies the environmental effects of rocket and missile launches at Cape Kennedy and the Vandenberg Missile Base. We provided a robust, field operational portable high resolution digital imaging system capable of measuring the volume and chemical content of rocket plumes.
Cobra Cobra Golf company needed a way to implement golf club impact analysis. We integrated a high speed motion analysis system with strain gages and a PC computer to create the tool required for that analysis.
JPL The Jet Propulsion Lab needed a way to measure the movement of fluid droplets suspended in space. We provided JPL with a complete high resolution digital imaging system to make those measurements.
JPL JPL is experimenting with the storage of digital data in a small crystal, and reading the data with a spatial light modulator. We assisted in the integration of the precise high resolution digital camera and the PC imaging system required to retrieve the data.
LBHA The Long Beach Harbor Authority needed a way to measure the effect of sea waves on the off-loading of container vessels. We used a high resolution digital camera to measure the relative motion of ships in the harbor, and produced a report based on those images that LBHA was able to use in defense of a possible law suit.
Printrak Printrak wanted to upgrade their existing fingerprint scanning system from a low resolution analog to high resolution digital camera. They also needed a very high resolution digital camera for their new palmprint scanning system. We provided the digital camera and interface card, and helped Printrak to integrate them to their existing computer and software.
Sequana Sequana needed a reliable way to analyze electrophoresis gels. We delivered a high resolution camera integrated with a PC computer and gel scanning station.
CU Columbia University is a leader in ophthalmic confocal microscopy. We provided the doctors at Columbia with a special high resolution digital imaging system and software that meet the needs of this demanding medical application.
SBOS Santa Barbara Ophthalmic Services wanted to add digital imaging and computer assisted analysis to their ophthalmic fundus 35mm film camera. We provided a high resolution, 10 bit dynamic range digital camera and integrated it to a PC computer and their fundus camera. FSE also provided application software to acquire digital images with the camera from within Adobe Photoshop.
Caltech The Physics Department at Caltech is a leader in fluid flow dynamics. We provided the integration of a high resolution digital camera, powerful computer, frame grabber and user friendly control software to assist in their research.
LBSU Long Beach State University Physics Department does research in interferometric velocity field measurement. We provided the high resolution digital imaging system required to implement their tests.
Scripps The Scripps Laboratory at the University of California at San Diego needed a way to study various aspects of marine fluid flow dynamics. We provided a high resolution digital imaging system that can capture successive images that are only one microsecond apart.
TRW TRW has a classified project to track and plot the motion of multiple particles in a fluid. We provided a complete digital imaging system to record and analyze the particles.
UCSB The University of California at Santa Barbara has a project to study non-nutonial fluid drops. We provided a high resolution, real time frame rate, digital imaging system to meet the demanding needs of this study project.
UCSD The University of California at San Diego Physics Department has an experiment to study rapidly moving particles suspended in a fluid. We integrated a high resolution camera to a computer system that could record image pairs in one microsecond intervals.
USC The University of Southern California also does extensive research in fluid flow dynamics and we provided them with a high resolution camera for their experiments.
